4. Conclusion

In this experiment, we found out that algae cannot survive in a concentration of 13.73, which was the PH value of concentrated Clorox, however, it can survive in PH value of 3.70, which is the PH value of hydrogen peroxide for the duration of our experiment. However, it was dying at a very slow rate. The algae in water also survived for the duration of our experiment but it was dying at a faster rate than hydrogen peroxide.
From that, we concluded that Chlorine is the best for the killing of algae and hydrogen peroxide is the worst for killing algae. So, owners of swimming pools or cleaners of the public swimming pool should not use hydrogen peroxide to kill algae as it is not as efficient as chlorine.
